Joe Gonzalez joined UFCU in 2005 and is known and admired for taking to heart the financial health of our Members and our community. Leading Enterprise Continuous Improvement & Everyday Banking and Payments, Joe oversees the epicenters of Member experience at UFCU, managing core products and services including deposit accounts, money movement, information governance, and debit and credit cards. He is also spearheading companywide efforts to transform processes that enhance Member and employee experiences through a Rapid Continuous Improvement methodology.
Gonzalez began his career at UFCU as a mortgage coordinator and has held progressively senior roles at the organization over the last 20 years. As the Associate Vice President of Consumer Lending, he co-led a multi-year digital transformation of our consumer lending Member experience and operations.
Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Texas A&M University. He spends his time and treasure supporting the Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation, CASA of Travis County, Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Salvation Army. Joe and his family, wife Dania and daughter Mia, love experiencing local Austin restaurants. You can find him and his wife supporting local live music or enjoying a fun round of golf during their spare time.
